Peter Edge

Peter Edge was born in Birkenhead in 1965. He studied at North Staffordshire Polytechnic and was elected as a Member of the Manchester Academy of Fine Art (MAFA) in 1996. Peter exhibits regularly throughout the UK and has won numerous awards, amongst them the Coates Viyella Award in 1993 and The Benton and Humphreys Prize The Discerning Eye, at the The Mall Gallery. in 2002. Peter also has work in private collections internationally and on public display at the Williamson Art Gallery and Museum and the Grosvenor Museum, Chester.

This current exhibition features pieces produced while in Italy. Peter's work investigates the quality of light and shade and these italian city studies have provided ideal subjects with a wealth of haunting vistas, rendered masterfully in Peter's highly recognisable style. We are fortunate to be able to show a body of Peter's work,which is becoming increasingly prized by collectors.
